You will find many cabins of different sorts on the estate. These have a special history, as all of them were put up when forestry in Norway was dominated by many forest workers who worked manually and long hours in the wild. They were in need of housing, and as a result, these cabins and small farms were established. As the forestry and farming changed, more and more people left the manual labor, and tourism slowly took over as use of the cabins.
